Product Used Up & a Holy Grail: Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

I have a lot of stuff queuing to be reviewed here and I think this is a good time to blog since it is weekend and I am not going out tonight. I don't feel like going anywhere today, even to the gym and I just wanna be productive at home. I did a little office work earlier today and now I feel like doing something I love but been absent doing.

This is about a skin serum that I've loved so much but I didn't get to write anything about it until it's already used up :p
I bought this serum when I had severe cystic acne and hadn't been to a dermatologist. So at first, I was just using acne care products sold in the market. I was using Mario Badescu acne care range that made my skin really dry and dull :( I bought Mario Badescu products from Luxola.com when they still shipped from Singapore.

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution comes in a range of products that varies from serum, cream, emulsion, mask, cleanser, exfoliator, toner and makeup base. Besides the serum, I also got the chance to try a few samples of the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution Cream which I love too :)

I remember the reason I tried this serum was because I wanted to remove or at least diminish the dark spots I had from the acne marks. Mario Badescu acne care range dried out the acnes I had but did not banish the acne roots inside my skin and of course, it left the acne scars on my face along with the dullness :((

I bought this product at IDR 665k or around US$ 50 for 30ml pack. The product comes in clear glass bottle with pipette. But don't worry, the glass bottle is not that fragile. I dropped it a few times and it never leaked a drop. The pipette is also very easy to use. The texture of the fluid is very thin and light and has no color with a hint of subtle citrus fragrance. This is probably related to the claim that it contains of active vitamin C that can brighten up your skin.

This product is to be used twice a day: morning & night, after cleansing and toner, before moisturizer and makeup. I just put 2-3 drops on my palm and pat it on my entire face and neck. The liquid absorbs well and very quickly into my skin. When I use it before sleep, it makes my skin dewy, glowy and healty when I wake up in the morning. I really like how it feels on my skin, the scent and the way it makes my skin glow, soft and delicate. 

By the time I used this serum, I was also using the products from the dermatologist and they worked just well together. I feel this really helped reduce the dark spots on my skin from the acne scars. Before I used this, I was afraid to go out without makeup (or at least BB cream) because I knew my face looked really dull and gloomy. But really, I feel different with this. Sometimes I just wear sunscreen and loose powder and ready to go! 

I'm giving this serum 5 out of 5 for the product efficacy and also I think the price is worth the benefits (brightening & moisturizing). Will surely repurchase the product after finishing my Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate.
